Potomac Metals (PMI) opened its doors for the first time in 1997 in Sterling, Virginia. PMI is a privately held independent scrap metal recycling company. We are the Mid-Atlantic’s most versatile recycling company as we provide a multitude of services to our commercial, residential and industrial accounts. We purchase raw scrap metal and process it at our locations to manufacture new tradable commodities to sell to mills, refineries and end users all over the world. PMI’s staff has grown to over 200 employees and operates nine locations throughout Virginia, West Virginia and Maryland.

Sarah Zwilsky
President
Sarah Zwilsky is the President of Potomac Metals Incorporated (PMI), a leader in metal recycling. She is dedicated to driving growth, expanding operations, and fostering workforce development while continuing the legacy of her father, Mark Zwilsky, PMI's founder.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys balancing her leadership role with motherhood and enjoys spending her lunch breaks at the gym.
Eric Zwilsky
Vice President (Recycling Tycoon of Lowcountry)
Eric is a true guru in metal commodities, blending expert knowledge with a customer-focused approach. Since earning his B.A. in Business & Economics from McDaniel College in 2009, he's been making his mark in the commodity trading industry. Passionate about maximizing value for his clients, Eric approaches every deal with a smile and a reminder that, as he says, "Scrappin' ain't EZ."

Sergeant at Arms
Mark is "Sergeant at Arms" at Potomac Metals Inc. (PMI) with 40+ years experience in the recycling industry. Being a grandfather, father, son, husband, truck driver, music lover, motorcycle enthusiast, business owner and aspiring ‘wanna be’ guitar player, "there’s not much I haven’t seen or heard before."
